Over the next three years, the district will expand and elevate the certified Engineering and Information Technology Career Pathway at Rifle High School so students graduate with industry-recognized skills, credentials, and clear access to high-demand careers. Aligned with the District’s Strategic Plan, this initiative strengthens PLTW (Project Lead the Way) coursework, credentialing, and work-based learning to increase CTE enrollment, credentials earned, and college credit attainment. By vertically aligning middle and high school programming, the pathway ensures equitable access for all students, including underserved learners, in this rural region. Partnerships with local industry and regional collaborators will provide internships, authentic design challenges, and career-connected experiences. Together, these efforts boost engagement, close postsecondary gaps, and prepare students for successful next steps after graduation.
